AVISTA DOCTOR TO SPEAK ON LATEST METHODS FOR RELIEVING LOW BACK PAIN

(LOUISVILLE)— Avista Adventist Hospital is hosting a free seminar on low back pain Thursday, May 24 from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Matthew Gerlach, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, will be the featured speaker and will discuss the latest diagnostic and treatment options—including non-surgical ones.

Dr. Gerlach is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has advanced training in orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery techniques, including the most advanced minimally invasive procedures. He holds a medical degree from the University of Minnesota and did his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then completed a fellowship in spine surgery at Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic, Lone Tree, Colo. 

Avista Adventist Hospital’s spine program offers on-going education and spine care by eight physicians: Dr. Andrew Castro, Dr. Matthew Gerlach, Dr. John Hudson, Dr. Alexander Mason, Dr. Joseph Morreale, Dr. Sharad Rajpal, Dr. Mark Robinson and Dr. Gordon Yee.
